XP antispyware 2010 Hack?
I will effing kill the people who have done this to my computer, but I’ve been hacked. I can’t use IE or firefox but google chrome works for some reason. When I try to use internet explorer, the antivirus doober pulls up. Anyone heard of (I WOULDN’T SUGGEST CLICKING) http://pcwindows-live.com/buy.html? And does anyone know what I should do to get this thing off? The website it takes you to to buy the product doesn’t even list a phone number…
First of all you have to fix certain Windows registry values that were affected by this virus. Otherwise you won’t be able to run removal tools. Then download MalwareBytes or SUPERAntispyware and run a system scan. Try booting your computer in safemode WITH networking. To do this, restart your computer and press F8 after the BIOS screen. You should get about 10 options. While in safemode, research ways to remove it.

Yes you have a rogue antivirus on your computer, so don’t even think about clicking that link in your question because it is a scam!
To remove it Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware:

Save it to the desktop and close all the windows. Right click and rename it to ‘55440.exe’. Double click on the installation setup on your desktop. Install the program and launch it. Check for the latest updates. Run a full scan and remove what is checked.
If the virus blocks it, then go to safe mode and scan your computer. (Press F8 while your computer is booting, and using the arrow keys find ’safe mode’)
Also try the portable version of Superantispyware. Just save
this to a usb disk on a different computer:
http://portable.superantispyware.com/sassaferun.php
And run the scan on your infected computer (again if this doesn’t work boot into safe mode). It shouldn’t get blocked because it is saved as a random file name.
Also, if you don’t have an anti-virus software to prevent you from getting these infections in the future, try Microsoft Security Essentials (free).

Hope this helps.
